Lao-Korean Children Hospital Library Volunteers

1.Description of Korean Buddhist Foundation for Social Welfare(KBF):

KBF is an International Non-Government Organization(INGO) founded in 1995 and has provided society with diverse social welfare service in South Korea.

KBF Laos branch was founded in 2011, carried out an eyesight recovery operation, Konglor province maternal and child health care project.

KBF Laos branch supports surgery, treatment and transport cost and shelter to children from suffering tumour/cancer recently. Moreover, KBF runs Budda tree Library and Play in Laos-Korean children Hospital for the outpatients as well as inpatients.

2.Working hours & Benefit:

 8:30 – 12:00 am, Monday to Friday morning (excluding Lao public holiday)

 Pay 25,000kip/per day for transportation fee monthly.

 Have a meeting with dinner once a month

3.Age Requirements:

Please note that we require all volunteer to be at least 20 years of age or older.

4.What will the volunteer do: KBF is looking for volunteers for a variety of roles which include:

 Read books for children

 Bookmobile service for inpatients

 Manage the library

5.Skills required:

 Friendly and kid patients service-oriented

 Flexible and willing to help out as necessary

 Able to work independently

 Basic or Good Speaking in Korean
